5 make-up tricks I use for hiding the fatigue

Hello everyone!

I hope you have had a nice (and relaxing) weekend! By relaxing I mean chill, with no sleeping that late or getting up too early, reasonable partying and so on 🙂

But what happens when you have a tough night and cannot get the rest that you need (due to staying late, not being able to sleep (enough or at all) or having a bad sleep)?

I guess we have all been through at least one of the situations above and looking in the mirror the next day seemed the worse thing ever – dark circles, eye pouches, matte skin, tired look. This would not be the whole problem, but what happens when you only have a couple of minutes to get decent and go out?
Although that period when I was staying late in the evening due to partying has gone for a couple of years (yes, I am getting old now 😛 ), it still happens to me (due to a laaaarge number of reasons) to not be able to get the rest my body requires and in the next morning have the Emoticon, Emoji, Choque, Sorpresa, Dibujos Animadoslook on my face and only 10 minute to get ready for leaving the house (well..I would like to have this look, with the eyelashes full of mascara and red lips, but this is only in my nicest dreams :S ).

These are the 5 make-up tricks that I do in order to get the fresh look after a not so relaxing night:

  1. I use the make-up base only on the parts of my face where I really consider that it is necessary, namely on the problematic zones.
  2. I only use an eyeshadow in a natural color, with a creamy and nacreous texture. I apply it on the entire esyelid, until right under the eyebrow. Of course, before applying it, I use the eyeshadow primer in order to fix the color. A natural and nacreous color of the eyeshadow lightens the eyes and removes the tired look. So..in this cases, no elaborated make-up using 2-3 colors, but just the basic – as you know, less is more 😀
  3. I exaggerate with the mascara – oh yes, I admit it, I apply two layers of volume mascara (the second time after a couple of minutes since applying the first layer in order for it to have been fixed).
  4. I use a strong color for lipstick in order for the attention to be deviated from the tired eyes.
  5. This is something which I do not do that often, especially as I am not a big fan of the blush. However, I have recently received a new one from the US which I really like so I have started using the blush again. It is known that blushed cheeks are a sign of healthiness, so applying a light layer of blush hides the signs of fatigue.

What do you think of the above, have you ever used any of these tricks to hide the signs of fatigue? What other trick do you use? Please share it with me 🙂

Happiness and rainbows

Hello everyone!

Spring is coming in a few days, I am enjoying the last days of February and will leave behind the cold weather and the unusual rain that we had in Alicante this season. Enough is enough so now let’s get ready for sunny days, thin clothes and lots of colors!

Last weekend my mobile phone “warned” me that it is almost full and that I should erase some of the huge amount of videos and pictures I have. Although ashamed, I have to admit that I did no plan to invest in a professional camera for taking pictures, thus my phone is the tool I use in this respect (I guess however that you have noticed this yourselves by the quality of the pictures I share with you on the blog 😛 ). Checking the pictures, I have remembered many great moments spent since September and until now, special moments with family and friends, gestures and laughter which made my day.. I am sharing with you some pictures taken one very special day for me and wish you to have a lovely spring, with clear blue sky, no rain and lots of rainbows (PS: maybe you are not superstitious, but did you know that they say that seeing a rainbow means good luck and hope? 🙂 )

Big kiss and “see” each other soon!

BIG NO!

My favourite business outfit this autumn- winter season (dress)

Hello my dear friends!

The new year has come with lots of new projects at work which cannot make me happier as I really love what I am doing and each new job challenge, although quite stressful at the beginning, makes me give the best of me and improve professionally.

This post is about how do we get dressed at work? Of course, as you may say, it depends on the job itself, the job requirements and the job environment. From my experience (and I changed around 3-4 work places until now), even if there is no concrete dress code at your job, this could be easily noticed further to seeing your colleagues or checking your responsibilities. So, one thing is whether your job implies having meetings with clients or potential clients, if you do a desk job and you do not get out too often from your office, or whether none of the above applies but your boss requires for all to be dressed in a certain manner, just to show some respect towards the firm, its values and your colleagues.

To be honest, I have never had experiences with a tough dress code, however almost in all my previous jobs I was requested to have a more or less business look.

Usually, I am always keen on an outfit per season which I love to wear at work so this is why I wanted to show you which was my favorite for this autumn-winter season. I was thinking to show you first the one with a skirt/dress, and in a next post – my favourite look with pants that I have intensively worn this season.

So, this is the first one and the next one – to be continued in a subsequent post 🙂

And you, do you have a dress code at work and what do you prefer to wear?wp-1485701766611.jpgimg-20170129-wa0014img-20170129-wa0011img-20170129-wa0015img-20170129-wa0010img-20170129-wa0009

Nuevo año, nuevo color en tendencias

Hola!!

My wish-list for this year – 6 main plans I have for 2017

cofsdr

Hello, hello, hope you have enjoyed the last day of this year and are getting ready to start the new year with a lot of enthusiasm and optimism!

The end of the year is always a period when I put on rewind the last 12 months of my life and make the balance between what I planned to achieve and what did or did not get materialize. 2016´s balance is not bad, although there are still some things left for this year – hope to put myself together in 2017 and finalize these as well. They are not core things and could wait for some time, however I have them pending since 2015 so I think it is the right moment to finalize them and get to the next fresh plans on my list (I have to confess that when I see many things pending on my list for a long time and I postpone doing them, I become a little stressed and cannot totally relax until they are not ticked off; so, I should start working on them as soon as possible).

Like I do every year, I have been thinking lately of things that I would like to do this year and for which I should struggle a bit more than usual to get finalized. My list is quite comprehensive (maybe this is why sometimes I cannot tick all of them ;)), however I would like to share with you the first six of them, leaving aside the most personal ones jaja. Here it goes:

  1. I would like to continue my Japanese classes that I have started in 2016 and improve a bit more with each class;
  2. I would like to travel more and go to places which I have always dreamt of, but which, for several reasons, seem complicated to me (such as Japan, India and Mexico);
  3. I would like to keep writing on this blog and improve my writing and advertisement skills, as well as the photos I take, by presenting not only an eye-catching content, but also a content with substance, non-superfluous; I admit that sometimes it is a bit difficult to me to start writing on the blog (although when I start doing it, I do it with lots of excitement and things come out easily; nevertheless, what takes me a lot of time is deciding to do it, turning on the tablet and opening the blog page 😛 );
  4. I would like to broaden my friends circle by meeting new people with interests which are similar to mine (either people following my blog or people whose blog I am following, as well as persons whom I could meet in other circumstances);
  5. I would like to be able to see my family and closest friends more often, although this does not always depend on me, but on my working schedule as well (this one is quite connected to number 2 above);
  6. I would like to attend as much as possible the dancing lessons I am taking which sometimes, for diverse reasons, I put on the second plan and miss because of not being abler to prioritize well.

I hope I will be able to fulfill all of them or at least to know that I have done all my best in this respect 🙂 And you, did you think of what you wish for this year?

Happy New 2017 to all of you, dear Octo-friends 🙂
