Happiness and rainbows

Hello everyone!

Spring is coming in a few days, I am enjoying the last days of February and will leave behind the cold weather and the unusual rain that we had in Alicante this season. Enough is enough so now let’s get ready for sunny days, thin clothes and lots of colors!

Last weekend my mobile phone “warned” me that it is almost full and that I should erase some of the huge amount of videos and pictures I have. Although ashamed, I have to admit that I did no plan to invest in a professional camera for taking pictures, thus my phone is the tool I use in this respect (I guess however that you have noticed this yourselves by the quality of the pictures I share with you on the blog 😛 ). Checking the pictures, I have remembered many great moments spent since September and until now, special moments with family and friends, gestures and laughter which made my day.. I am sharing with you some pictures taken one very special day for me and wish you to have a lovely spring, with clear blue sky, no rain and lots of rainbows (PS: maybe you are not superstitious, but did you know that they say that seeing a rainbow means good luck and hope? 🙂 )

Big kiss and “see” each other soon!

El terciopelo – de dia o de noche?

Hola amig@s!

My favourite business outfit this autumn- winter season (dress)

Hello my dear friends!

The new year has come with lots of new projects at work which cannot make me happier as I really love what I am doing and each new job challenge, although quite stressful at the beginning, makes me give the best of me and improve professionally.

This post is about how do we get dressed at work? Of course, as you may say, it depends on the job itself, the job requirements and the job environment. From my experience (and I changed around 3-4 work places until now), even if there is no concrete dress code at your job, this could be easily noticed further to seeing your colleagues or checking your responsibilities. So, one thing is whether your job implies having meetings with clients or potential clients, if you do a desk job and you do not get out too often from your office, or whether none of the above applies but your boss requires for all to be dressed in a certain manner, just to show some respect towards the firm, its values and your colleagues.

To be honest, I have never had experiences with a tough dress code, however almost in all my previous jobs I was requested to have a more or less business look.

Usually, I am always keen on an outfit per season which I love to wear at work so this is why I wanted to show you which was my favorite for this autumn-winter season. I was thinking to show you first the one with a skirt/dress, and in a next post – my favourite look with pants that I have intensively worn this season.

So, this is the first one and the next one – to be continued in a subsequent post 🙂

And you, do you have a dress code at work and what do you prefer to wear?wp-1485701766611.jpgimg-20170129-wa0014img-20170129-wa0011img-20170129-wa0015img-20170129-wa0010img-20170129-wa0009

Nuevo año, nuevo color en tendencias

Hola!!

Buenas a tod@s!!

Is the Black Friday that black?

Hello everybody!

A new week has just commenced and I am getting ready to face all the busy schedule that is expecting me until the end of the year. But..it’s good that we have days like those of last weekend that fill you with energy and good mood 🙂 The Black Friday (and Saturday, Sunday etc.) has passed and things were getting really crazy in nice and (usually) quiet Alicante.

I couldn’t go shopping on Friday, but I took advantage of the Saturday to tick everything that was on my WISHlist: some things for decorating the house, a dress that I wanted for some time from El Corte Ingles, a perfume from Jimmy Choo and presents for my family and closest friends. To be honest, it is the first Black Friday when I did not jump into the shopping malls or stores like in other years – might this be because I am getting older and wiser and I plan to invest in other things than clothes?  :D…guess not, I love clothes,  perfumes, cosmetics and accessories, just that I did not find something to really make me buy it, except for the dress which I was chasing for a looooong time and the perfume which was more like a necessity as the one I am having now is almost finishing and really needed a new one.

I think I enjoyed more buying things for my family and friends and feeling the atmosphere in the city. I stopped of course for a Toffee Nut Latte at Starbucks and felt like on holiday…the only thing that was missing was Santa Claus, however I made sure to get some presents for myself and get into the Xmas spirit 😀 I don’t know why they call this Black Friday..to me black is something with negative connotations, I even avoid wearing too much black as it contrasts with my (usual) good mood. I love colors so for me, the Black Friday should turn into Pink Friday – it is enough to see people’s faces when grabbing a discounted item in order to realize that the Black Friday has nothing black 🙂

So, what did you do last weekend, what are the latest (fashion and non-fashion) acquisitions? Looking forward to your comments!!

This is me before starting the marathon.

Love and marriage at Fira Novios Alicante 2016

During November 11-13, Alicante hosted the weddings fair Fira Novios at IFA, Torrellano. A perfect occasion for seeing the latest fashion collections for party and wedding 2017, together with some of the best offers for hair and makeup, honeymoon trips, wedding locations and much more.

As I am directly interested in this (yes, next year it’s my turn, I am actively organizing THE day :)), I wanted to have a look and maybe get some ideas or improve the ones that I have. Basically, I already have the dress (which by the way, I thought it would be the most complicated thing, but however I managed to find it in the second attempt, which is not bad at all considering the fact that it takes me a lot to decide on buying day to day clothes and I always thought that buying the wedding dress would take me a lot of time), the location and the wedding rings, but I wanted to see whether I can find any good places for hair and makeup, flowers arrangements and the best of all: the honeymoon.

We spent there about three hours, but not only for checking the place, but also because we took part into a gown and wedding dresses parade which was realllyyyyy nice 🙂 Although as I said before, I already have the dress, I wanted to see the collections they presented, as to be honest, I only tried on my dress once some months ago and I liked it so much, so I wanted to remember those moments while seeing the models on stage. I know this sounds insane, however the feeling is so nice, you feel like a real princess (especially if you are not used to going to those kind of parties where the dress code obliges you to wear a long dress), so I wanted to travel back in time and remember how my dress is, at least until I get the chance to put it on again for THE day 🙂

As expected, the best collection for me was AIRE BARCELONA  (in Alicante, you can find it in Rosana Canto’s store, not sure whether there are any other stores in Alicante having AIRE dresses). My dress is from Rosana’s store as well, but it is another collection, namely ALMA NOVIAS.

For makeup and hair , unfortunately, did not find something to say wow, so I will keep searching. There is still some time, so I don’t want to panic yet and become a bridezilla 😀

What we did find (and then, when coming home in the evening, studied a lot), were many many honeymoon offers from some of the best travel agencies in town. Although there were several travel agencies showing their offers, I am inclined in going on a trip with one of the reputed ones..please do not get me wrong, I am not picky or superficial, but I do not want to arrive to my destination or need something during my trip and have nobody reliable to approach to or to be totally ignored, like it happened to some friends of mine when travelling and the agency totally ignored them when they had some issues there. So, getting back to the matter, we got home with lots of catalogues and offers for honeymoons which now we are considering, depending on the distance and budget 🙂 We have no idea yet where to go and the amount of possibilities makes it more difficult..what we do know is that we don’t want to go to the beach (we have this in Alicante as well, right?) and we would really like to go sightseeing and visiting several cities. I will let you know when we make a decision 🙂

Until then, I leave below some pictures of the nicest dresses presented during the parade (which belong to AIRE collection), as per my personal opinion. Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures, they were done with my mobile phone and the place was quite dark.

And this is me before getting there, with the purple look 🙂
